The Role of Community in the Fight Against Breast Cancer
When a community comes together, change happens. By creating a supportive environment, more individuals feel encouraged to seek help early and share their experiences. Danid Centre for Chronic Illness has been working to build this community in Kisumu through health talks, educational programs, and our upcoming Free Breast Cancer Screening Day. Our mission is to make breast health knowledge accessible to all, breaking the stigma that often surrounds cancer discussions.

Supporting Survivors and Families
Awareness also means supporting those affected. Survivors, caregivers, and families all need a network of care. Danid Centre for Chronic Illness provides ongoing support through our Oncology & Palliative Care and Family Support Programs, ensuring no one walks this journey alone. Together, we can strengthen our Kisumu community and create hope for a future free from late-stage breast cancer diagnoses.
